Hours after the White House blasted Rosie O’Donnell as “nasty” over her jokes on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” this week, the comedian unleashed a series of scathing digs at President Donald Trump during her farewell monologue.
O’Donnell addressed the White House’s comments at the top of her monologue Thursday night, telling her studio audience, “Welcome to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.’ I am your guest host, ‘Nasty’ Rosie O’Donnell.”
“I’ve really enjoyed my time here. Thanks to everyone who’s been watching this week, especially the hungry, hungry hypocrite in the White House,” O’Donnell ripped. “Kind of weird to think he spent more nights with me this week than Melania [Trump].”
She added: “Most of all, I’d like to thank Jimmy Kimmel for inviting me to do this and for reminding everyone that we have the right to free speech in this country, whether Orange Voldemort likes it or not.”
O’Donnell then redirected her attention to a different member of the Trump administration: Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“According to new reports, cases of COVID are surging in almost every state right now,” she said. “But don’t worry, people, ’cause our fate is in the hands of the Secretary of Health and Human Sacrifice, Robert F. Kennedy. Go ahead, boo him, please.”
“There he is, SpongeBob Smallpox,” she continued. “Is it wrong to say I hate this man? … But hey, if you can’t trust the medical advice of a guy who pulled over during a road trip to cut the penis off a dead raccoon, who can you trust?”
O’Donnell then slammed Kennedy as a “strange man,” adding, “I don’t like any of his thoughts on autism.”
Before her monologue came to a close, O’Donnell decided to perform a parody of “Danny Boy,” which she rewrote to be “Donnie Boy.”
“I would like to close my final monologue here with a traditional Irish song dedicated to a very special boy,” she said before singing, “Oh, Donnie boy, it’s Rosie, Rosie calling from Hollywood, the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Drop that Big Mac that we all know you’re holding. Because my dear, I worry for you so.”
“Poor Donnie boy, your polls, your polls are falling,” she sang on. “Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew. Your wig’s a mess. Your ballroom is appalling. And with Iran, you bit off more than you can chew.”
